SEND Primary Teacher

TeacherActive is delighted to be working with an expanding primary school that inspires their pupils every day. This school provides a high standard of education and focuses on pupils with ASD and SLD needs and provides them with a daily structure and routine to ensure the best learning environment for their individual needs.
The school is looking for a determined SEND Primary Teacher with the potential of a permanent position. The successful SEND Primary Teacher will be confident working across both Key Stage 1 / KS1 and Key Stage 2 / KS2, helping them to meet their milestones and giving them 1 to 1 support. The applicant would also have to be well equipped to deal with challenging behaviours and work closely with Teachers to support the classroom.
The successful SEND Primary Teacher will have the following:
QTS - ECTs are welcome to apply
Experience working with SLD and ASD
A calm, patient and caring personal
A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
Experience in working with supporting pupils in their education on a 1:1 and a small group basis
Excellent classroom management
