Our client is a world class, multi award-winning, well-established manufacturing business, with strong and sustained investment in people, capital and plant. They produce specialist products and are an acknowledged international leader in terms of size and technical capabilities.
NB: Applications from candidates with limited post qualification experience will be welcome as well as those for experienced candidates, as some training can be given for the right suitably qualified candidate.
The successful site based candidate will play a hands-on role, working as part of the Infrastructure Group, which maintains all company servers, PCs, and networks. You will be involved in supporting end users where necessary, maintaining daily backups and server administration, as well as providing support for PC workstations and applications (Microsoft Office, ERP, Smart HMI), Support for all electronic equipment (Telephone System, Photocopiers, TV's etc.). The role will encompass involvement in technical projects such as rollouts, implementation of new systems and upgrades.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Maintaining Servers, PCs, and networks
* Supporting end users where necessary,
* Maintaining daily backups and server administration
* Providing support for PC workstations and applications (Microsoft Office, ERP, Smart HMI)
* Providing support for electronic equipment (Telephone System, Photocopiers, TV's etc.).
* Supporting production line controller stations
* Direct hands-on involvement in projects such as rollouts, implementation of new systems and upgrades
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES
ESSENTIAL
* Must be qualified to an appropriate level within an IT related discipline
DESIREABLE
* Experience of Windows Server 2012 – 2022 / Windows 10 and Windows 11
* Strong trouble shooting ability
* Motivated and flexible with a willingness to learn new technologies / Attention to detail and the ability to present and communicate information (electronic, written and verbal)
* An IT related degree would be preferred, but not essential
* Network Cable Installation
* DNS, DHCP, SMTP, / Active Directory (maintenance and administration) / Group policy management / SQL (maintenance and administration)
Details of Package:
Up to £32,000 PA (Depending on experience) + Discretionary Bonus (Up to 2k PA) + Benefits (Inc. life Assurance). Personal pension scheme (7% company contribution) Hours of work: 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday (Daily lunch break is 1 hour)
