The company
Inside Construction have been appointed to recruit a Site/Senior Site Manager for a main contractor who specialise in commercial refurbishment solutions. They work predominately in the public sector (healthcare) offering full turnkey building solutions.
The role
A Site Manager’s role is to manage all site activities to ensure the project is completed safely, on time, on budget and in line with contractual obligations.
Creating a positive Health & Safety culture, your duties will include supervising all construction workers, their tools and materials and making regular safety inspections.
* Oversee day to day operational duties of the project from inception to completion
* Manage site activities on a day to day basis, including supervising labour, monitoring subcontractors, checking materials, inspecting work and overseeing quality control
* Ensure on-site safety through risk assessment and risk management
* Promote a positive Health & Safety culture
* Liaise with buyers for material procurement and effective buying opportunities
* Build and maintain strong relationships and ensure regular communications with key contacts, both internal and external customers, reporting progress on projects.
The person
This opportunity would suit an experienced Site Manager from a main contracting refurb background. It’s essential you have 2 years’ experience of working in a similar role and a good knowledge of construction, building regulations and legal guidelines. Our client looks for team players who can problem solve and demonstrate excellent communication skills. You will need to be client/customer facing as you will be working in a live healthcare setting. SMSTS, First aid and CSCS are required.
The role will be site based so a driving license is essential.
Experience in refurbishment in healthcare projects is desirable.
The package
Salary will be competitive plus car allowance/company car. The company offers a generous benefits package including 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, company bonus, private healthcare and 7% pension contributions.
