My client is looking for a dynamic and knowledgeable Senior London Marker Broking Business Analyst to join their team.


The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the London Insurance Wholesale processes, including Policy, Claims, and Technical Accounting. They should be proficient in navigating messaging flows within broking systems in the London market and be familiar with initiatives such as the Lloyd’s Future of Lloyd’s / Blueprint II and their implications for broking systems.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with General Insurance software vendors, Insurance Brokers, and Underwriters to provide functional direction for new products, modules, or features during insurance product implementations.
  • Deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations, effectively communicating complex information.
  • Manage customer expectations and guide the specification and review process under tight timelines, often dealing with challenging client issues.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive knowledge of London Insurance Wholesale processes, including Policy, Claims, and Technical Accounting.
  • Understanding of messaging flows to and from broking systems within the London market.
  • Familiarity with Lloyd’s Future of Lloyd’s / Blueprint II initiatives and their impact on broking systems.
  • Experience working with General Insurance software vendors, Insurance Brokers, or Underwriters, providing functional direction for new products, modules, or features.
  • Practical knowledge of at least one computer-based Insurance Broking system.
  • Strong presentation and demonstration skills.
  • Ability to manage customer expectations and navigate challenging client issues with confidence.
  • Self-motivated with high energy levels, problem-solving skills, and innovative thinking.


Desirable Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with existing Broking products such as (Brokasure Enterprise, Brokasure Desktop, or Global XB).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to understand complex requirements, communicate them in plain English, and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Capability to plan, design, and recommend business processes to support and improve business activities.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, including travel at short notice and hosting meetings at unsociable hours.
  • Insurance industry qualification (e.g., A.C.I.I.).
  • Knowledge and experience with implementing insurance/reinsurance software packages, with an understanding of their strengths and weaknesses.
