The Role:
We supply logistics businesses with hundreds of temporary staff every day, 365 days a year. Your primary focus will be to provide crucial support to a diverse portfolio of around 20 customers and also serve as primary contact for our 100+ office network.
Reporting to one of our Senior National Account Managers, you'll dive headfirst into intensive coaching from day one. Benefitting from the wealth of Account Management experience within the team, you’ll develop your existing skills, by looking after a portfolio of smaller, but important, National Accounts.
You'll encounter a myriad of business scenarios, collaborating closely with various Driver Hire team members to forge meaningful relationships across all levels. This is a role which is as a stepping stone for individuals aspiring to advance to the role of National Account Manager.
You'll also be at the forefront of our exciting new project, a technology solution changing the way logistics recruitment works for our customers. With this exciting project on the horizon, the possibilities for personal and professional growth are endless.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Your journey as an Account Manager will be diverse and stimulating, requiring flexibility and the ability to juggle multiple projects while meeting deadlines. Your core responsibilities will include:
* Customer Portfolio Management: Manage and nurture a portfolio of accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing their needs promptly.
* Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing solutions.
* Sales Targets: Work towards meeting and exceeding sales targets and objectives.
* Administrative Duties: Handle administrative tasks such as order processing, account documentation, and maintaining accurate customer records.
* Reporting: Prepare regular reports on account status, sales activities, and customer feedback for review by National Account Managers and National Accounts Director.
* Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for growth within the assigned customer portfolio.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including marketing, finance, and customer service, to ensure seamless service delivery to customers.
* Training and Development: Participate in training programs to enhance sales skills, product knowledge, and professional growth.
About You
This role is tailor-made for an ambitious individual, hungry for growth and eager to make their mark. While a degree-level education is preferred, prior experience in the sector is not mandatory, although a minimum of 12 months Account Management experience is essential. We prioritise candidates with a thirst for knowledge and a can-do attitude. Skills and attributes to include:
