Certification Engineer
Our client, an engineering organisation, is currently seeking a Certification Engineer to join their team. This is a temporary position, with a full-time working pattern. As a Certification Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to support our client in the collection of technical data and other deliverables for type approval.
In this role, you will work with our client's DMS (Data Management System) to collect and organise technical data for homologation. You will also assist in the creation of R&D-specific catalogues to streamline the data collection process and minimise duplication. Additionally, you will be responsible for coordinating with R&D functions, ensuring the timely delivery and tracking of data population.
As a Certification Engineer, you will have the following key responsibilities:
Creating and maintaining the folder structure in the DMS
Developing and populating function-focused data catalogues with existing certification data
Reviewing data catalogues to eliminate duplicate requests
Aligning with R&D teams to gain agreement on data delivery
Administering engagement with R&D teams and monitoring data collection progress
Holding online collection support meetings to address any questions or concerns from R&D
Conducting data catalogue review and sign-off sessions with relevant stakeholders
Administering and controlling any changes requested post catalogue reviewFor the 27MY and BY63x projects, you will build on the function-focused data catalogues created in previous model years and establish new data inputs. You will also continue to engage with R&D teams, monitor data collection progress, and facilitate review and sign-off sessions.
In addition to the project-specific tasks, as a Certification Engineer, you will be responsible for general DMS administration, reviewing and updating data catalogues, developing process documentation and guidance, and acting as a key point of contact for certification data-related queries. You will also facilitate a data management steering committee and generate project and data collection timing overviews.
