Job Description

Reports To: Project Manager

Location: UK

Employment Type: Full-time

Role Overview: The Lead AI Researcher will oversee the research and development of AI attack vectors and corresponding mitigation strategies for VE3. This role involves leading a team of data scientists and engineers, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality outputs.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of AI attack vectors, including prompt injection, data poisoning, and adversarial fine-tuning.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables.
  • Conduct literature reviews and stay updated on the latest advancements in AI safety.
  • Develop and implement mitigation strategies to defend against identified attacks.
  • Oversee the testing and validation of AI models and safeguards.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations on research findings.
  • Mentor and guide junior researchers and data scientists.

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
  • At least 10 years of experience in AI research and development.
  • Proven track record of published research in AI safety.
  • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and data science.
  • Experience with AI security testing and red-teaming.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Deep knowledge of AI and machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and R.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
