Offshore Crane Technician

We are looking for several offshore crane technicians to join our client on a permanent basis, working in the offshore, ports and shipping and oil and gas industry, based from the UK, to work based from home on a flying-squad basis.

As part of the offshore crane technician position, you will work receive full training, work in a variety of environments and on a huge range of equipment all over the world.

The company support the oil and gas industry and after winning new contracts globally, they are looking to expand massively over the next 12 months.

Ideally, you will be apprentice served in either Electrical engineering/hydraulic engineering/Mechanical engineering.

Responsibilities:nCarry out the commissioning, maintenance, inspection and servicing of client cranes and lifting equipment, onshore and offshore.nCarry out repairs and inspection on a range of electrical equipment and systems.nCarry out fault finding and repairs of hydraulic and mechanical equipment and systems.nCarry out the commissioning, maintenance, inspection and servicing of a range of client mechanical equipment, onshore and offshore.nAssist with spares identification and procurement.nProduce clear factual documented reportsnRigging and lift planningnComply with site HSEQ requirementsnWork safely with all site staff to ensure a safe working environmentnMinimise any environmental risks which may occur when undertaking the tasks required and ensure all available controls are utilised when off-shore

Skills and experience:nWorking within the offshore/marine crane industry.nCommissioning and fault finding on electro-mechanical and/or hydro-mechanical systems.nWork on your own or within a team.nWork at heights.nAn in-depth knowledge of preventative maintenance on offshore cranesnBOSIETnIT literate and be able to write reports.nUK driving licence.nCan read schematics and engineering drawings then translate this into practice.nLeadership/supervisory experiencenExperience working with marine engineering applications.
