Role Overview:nThe primary responsibility of the Middle Office Fund Accountant is the reconciliation and oversight of the Net Asset Value (NAV) of funds. The NAV production is outsourced, so effective liaison with and monitoring of the third-party administrators is an important part of this role.
The funds comprise Credit products including Bonds, Corporate Bonds, CDS, CDOs, CLOs and IRS.
As a Middle Office role, it does have a broad remit, with the opportunity to work directly on fund launches, closures and other projects.
Additional responsibilities include (but are not limited to):nReview and analyse fund profit and loss accounts across asset classes, to assist reporting performance.nReview foreign exchange exposures and report to the Asset Managers, highlighting any currency hedging requirements.nAttend meetings with administrators and pricing committees.nReview existing systems / processes / procedures and MIS to identify areas of possible enhancements
To excel in this role you'll need:nAn Accounting qualification (or be working towards one)nAt least 3 years of experience with NAV reconciliations and oversightnAt least 3 years of experience with Credit productsnA 2:1 Bachelors degree in a numerate disciplinenThe ability to communicate effectively with multiple senior stakeholders
