Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Swindon, with travel Nationwide
Salary Band: £40,000 to £55,000
Role Purpose:
To oversee single or multiple utility projects from project award to completion. The Project Manager will be the primary point of contact for all aspects
Project Manager Responsibilities:
Produce and maintain accurate records of work undertaken and maintain up-to-date and current programmes
Define and embed project control and governance
Design and maintain accurate and current programs of work for the projects they deliver
Provide Project planning, Milestone management, Scope management,
Resource forecasting; Financial Management; Change Management across the project portfolio.
Provide routine updates and reports at an operational and commercial level
Oversee project costs and ensure finances are well managed
Support the Commercial team with project feedback, recommendations and lessons learned
Deliver projects sustainably in consideration of competence, capability and safety
Take decisions as and when required, including pre-empting implications of decisions and identifying solutions
Attend site when necessary to troubleshoot or monitor quality Conduct audits
Maximize profitability for the business at all times, considering innovative or better practices to deliver project efficiency wherever it is possible to do so
Ensure cross-Programme dependencies are managed and the dependency log is accurately maintained
Ensure efficient change control methods and process are utilized.
Work across multiple disciplines and deal with sites, customers and designers daily remaining organized and agile whilst working with multiple teams and individuals. Project Manager requirements:
Project Management qualification
Understanding and knowledge of Street Works Permits
Experience in delivering complex, multimillion pound projects
Experience and good understanding of working with electrical designs
SMSTS
Commercially aware with a clear understanding of implications decisions may have on the overall business
Excellent knowledge and experience in Project Management within the utility industry
Experience of establishing strategic and operational partnerships.
Desire to mentor, train and manage new team members as the business grows
Excellent understanding of the project lifecycle from ownership to completion
Able to report and demonstrate project profit and loss forecasting and delivery
Agile in challenging situations with the ability to find appropriate cost-effective solutions
Basic awareness of tendering
