Our industry-recognised Make the Safe Choice ethos is at our core and underpins every single thing we do, from contract lifts and crane hire to specialist projects for customers.Our reputation as a market leader is not just a result of our expansive fleet and comprehensive network of locations across the UK, but is also derived from the workplace culture that allows our team to perform their duties with passion and pride.Job Purpose/Objectives of a Hire ControllerManaging resources and fleet within the depot to ensure they are utilised in an effective manner and to support the depot manager in the day to day running of the depot. Hire Controllers maximise revenue and profit against agreed targets through the effective rental of cranes and ancillaries.Key Responsibilities of a Hire ControllerUnderstand the customer requirements and provides the best solution.Has a in depth knowledge of our products.Covert hire enquiries into orders to ensure achievement of revenue targets.Maximise all sales opportunities.Captures customer information.Manage and build relationships internally and with our suppliers.Manage resources (e.g., allocate work to employees) and fleet within the depot to ensure they are utilised in an effective manner.Contribute to the overall business targets and comply with company standards.Deals with customer enquires efficiently.Controls all costs.Ensures that all administration tasks and processes are accurate and kept up to date.Ensure compliance to legislative requirements and internal quality health safety and environmental policies and standards.Works flexibly, covers out of hours calls.

Person specificationEducation/Knowledge/ExperienceEquivalent of minimum grade C in Maths and English GCSERental experience desirableExcellent telephone mannerProficiency with Microsoft office (word, excel, power point)Knowledge of CRM tools such as Salesforce
