Tradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a confident and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Westminster. You will be working within the schools SEN unit which caters for a small number of students with speech and language difficulties. This is a full time, long-term role starting in September.

Within this purposeful environment, leaders and staff work together and ensure that high expectations are realised, including for those with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). They offer a broad and challenging curriculum for all. The school also has an additional resourced provision (ARP) for up to 12 students with speech and language difficulties.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
Supporting the teacher in delivering the curriculum
Assisting with the preparation of activities and resources
Supporting students to engage and succeed
Supporting the teacher in the assessment and reporting of student progress
Communicating with parents/carers and external agency workersWe are looking for someone who:
Has experience working with young people
Has a good understanding of SEN ideally speech and language support
Is committed to helping all pupils achieve their full potential
Is able to work independently as well as part of a team
Has a positive and enthusiastic approach
