The opportunity:
Leading a team of 5 people to deliver accurate financial information and providing financial counsel and support across the organisation.nDevelop the finance team to ensure it becomes a higher-performing team.nDelivery of weekly, monthly and annual statutory financial reporting.nAssist in the preparation of the company budgets and strategic plans on an annual basis.nEnsuring robust financial controls are in place across all businesses to maintain the financial integrity and control of the operation.nShare best practices and build relationships across the wider Halma organisation.nWork with operational and other functional teams to implement process improvements throughout the company.nHelp to identify the critical business drivers that are key in developing the business. Consider how evolving technologies and data analytics can be incorporated or added to the current business systems to drive business performance and growth.
You'll be the ideal candidate for this position if you have:
A qualification in accountancy (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with suitable PQE and IFRS/GAAP knowledge.nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with a “positive can do” attitude.nA questioning and challenging mindset to information and data.nAn open-minded and curious mentality with a modern-day approach to systems, technologies and analytics.nThe ability to lead and motivate a finance team of five (including both qualified/part-qualified colleagues).nExperience from the manufacturing sector is desirable but not a prerequisite, alongside knowledge of customs, stock, and costs.nPrevious experience from working in a group structure with exposure to a listed environment would be advantageous.
