Milk Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Needs Teaching Assistant to join one of our welcoming partner schools in the Bolton area. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), supporting them to reach their full potential both academically and personally. As a Special Needs TA , you’ll be working closely with teachers and other support staff to provide one-to-one or small group assistance to pupils with additional needs such as Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, or social and emotional challenges. Key Responsibilities Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of special educational needs. Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering differentiated lessons. Encourage positive learning behaviours and help pupils develop social and emotional skills. Monitor progress and provide feedback to teachers and parents. Support pupils with personal care needs (if required). Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom environment. ✅ Requirements Previous experience working with children with SEN (in a school or care setting). A patient, caring and empathetic nature. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
