Our client continues to emerge within the fashion industry bridging the gap between high street and designer brands. Recognised for their sophisticated occasion wear, and luxury knitwear. With their expansion they are looking for a passionate and hardworking individual to join their team. This is a perm role; it can be full or part time and reports into the Senior Garment Technologist.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Fitting knitwear and leading fit sessions

• Communicating fit comments to suppliers and approving grading to production

• Developing proto specs

• Supporting design team with fabric sourcing, building a library of fabrics

• Reviewing base and bulk tests and communicating with suppliers

• Care Label approvals

• Dealing with fit and measurement queries from suppliers

• Problem solving and working on ensuring garments / trimmings are fit for

purpose and within ethical requirements

• Identifying and solving production issues

Qualification, skills and experience:

• Experience and knowledge working across knitwear, ideally women’s and menswear

• Experience in garment fit, construction, and fabrics, with a strong track record of delivering quality products

• Extensive knowledge of pattern making and grading, manufacturing processes, and quality control procedures

• Ability to analyse technical problems and come up with solutions

• Team working and excellent communication skills

• Hybrid Working and Flexi Hours. 2 days a week in the office, preferably Tuesday and/or Thursday

• Work pattern: 5 days 37.5 hours or 4 days 30 hrs, working 7.5 hours per day exclusive of a 1 hour break each day.
