Our client based just outside Royston are recruiting for a Manual Machinist (Milling).

Salary circa £32-36 K based on experience
39 hours per week Mon- Thurs (Apply online only) or (Apply online only), Fri (Apply online only)

Manual Machinist
The working environment is a small but busy machine shop with both CNC and manual lathes and mills. We manufacture in-house designed components from a range of engineering materials including aluminium tooling plate, brass, steel and engineering plastics and composites. The machines are used to produce batch and individual bespoke components.
The manual mill is an XYZ Prototrak 2 axis turret mill with optional CNC control, air powered draw bar, and 3 axis DRO.
Manaul Machinst Experience
A time served apprenticeship is ideally required although not essential if the applicant can evidence a minimum of 3 years' relevant work experience.
Good general education including suitable qualifications in Maths and English.
Any CNC experience will be useful.
Familiar with test and measuring devices with the ability to measure and inspect workpieces for defects.
Able to position, adjust and secure stock material or workpieces against stops, on arbors or in chucks and fixtures.
The applicant must be able to work unsupervised and as part of a cohesive team.
