Position Summary

The role of the designer is to support the Creative Director, working with the rest of the studio to produce high quality and effective online & offline output. 


The candidate will be responsible for delivering highly aesthetic, on-brand, and on-strategy creative for branding projects, websites, email templates, social media graphics and banner ads, as well as traditional print advertising and campaign work. 


Although this role will suit a good all-rounder, where a keen eye for design is paramount, a passion for digital design and associated experience is preferred. If you can also create animated graphics in After Effects (or similar) that’s ideal.


The designer will work closely alongside the Creative Director, Account Managers and Web Developers and will be office-based in the main, although some hybrid working flexibility will be considered. While some projects may require directing external resources, the role is expected to be hands-on.


Salary will be commensurate with level of experience at a range between £,000 and £38,000.


Job Duties

  • Work with Creative Director to translate marketing requirements into compelling, appropriate campaigns and design layouts.
  • Design and produce outstanding, well-thought through brand work, designs for printed adverts and brochures, websites, product graphics and packaging and social media banners, static and animated ads, email campaigns, and email templates. 
  • Created well-timed, well-executed and exciting animated content for our own and client socials.
  • Translate product positioning, existing research, and offline/online Marketing strategies into effective designs.
  • Work with external developers to ensure aesthetics also are aligned with functionality, usability, accessibility, and web standards. Work with developers to ensure proper implementation within a web environment and ensure consistency and integrity of the creative vision.
  • Translate wireframes into simple, easy-to-use User Interfaces.
  • Ensure accurate, consistent project filing and admin including version control in line with the company guidelines using a bespoke built online system.


Ideal Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in digital design, graphic design, graphic communications or related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years successful professional design experience, preferably at agency / digital agency or in-house team.
  • Strong portfolio of design work, showing solution to business problems through effective design.
  • Able to present concepts and work with internal teams to the correct solution.
  • Experience in web marketing/web design with a strong knowledge of HTML, Photoshop, FTP, web design and development principles.
  • Strong work ethic and personal accountability.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Time management.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite products, Photoshop in particular. After Effects (or similar programme) preferred.
