Manage and quality control the entire mechanical and electrical installation
Required to carry out a pro- active role in running and overseeing a team of professional M&E engineers in delivering M&E Commissioning Management service, covering all building service installations for the project.
The Project:
This is a fantastic Grade 2 listed cut and carve project based in the heart of London and we will be transforming the existing Edwardian building into a high-end commercial and mixed-use space.
Main Responsibilities:
* Communicate between the M&E commissioning managers, designers and the construction team.
* Ensure that all inspection and testing procedures are carried out correctly and un performance tests and verify all installations.
* Attend design and construction meetings and chair weekly M&E subcontractor meetings with relevant managers in attendance.
* Strategy, planning, coordination and witnessing of all the M&E commissioning activities.
* Oversee amendments to M&E drawings due to design variations/ alterations.
* Prepare commissioning progress reports for management and the client.
* Provide suitable advice where necessary to ensure the building will be fully functional
* Understand system/design from “end to end” to support the integration of testing and commissioning plans.
* Ensure evidence of satisfactory testing certificates, and commissioning results are compiled and processed in support of the final handover.
* Oversee the development and collation of appropriate O&M records in a timely manner.
* Maintain up to date drawing files and registers for M&E commissioning.
* Deliver the commissioning requirements for projects from design to the end of commissioning process.
* Write/ review the commissioning strategy, commissioning assessment, commissioning plan and programme.
* Witness and sign off commissioning off systems, and associated documentation.
* Manage and oversee all M&E commissioning activities, documentation and test records.
* Ensuring Subcontractors employed carry out works as per their agreed contract scope documents.
* Ensure all subcontractors and site operatives to be working to their method statements. Method statements to be reviewed alongside health and safety department to ensure methodology is safest way of carrying out the works.
We’re Looking For:
* Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a similar Senior M&E role
* SMSTS
* Relevant Degree or NVQ level 6 in Construction Management
* City & Guilds Electrical Level 3 or NVQ 3 in plumbing and air ventilation
* Practical knowledge of Fieldview and 4 Projects
* Knowledge of the industry standards, UKPS, UKPN, BT fibre requirements for installations
* Knowledge of current legislation: Health and Safety requirements, building regulations, NHBC site specific requirement
