Your responsibilities in your new role as the Head Chef
* Lead the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring all dishes are prepared to the highest standard.
* Control stock levels, place orders, and complete regular stock takes.
* Manage and develop a team of chefs, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
* Complete staff rotas, ensuring adequate coverage for all shifts.
* Maintain excellent communication with the front-of-house team to ensure smooth service.
* Oversee the kitchen's financial performance, including controlling costs and maximising profitability.
* Ensure all kitchen activities comply with health and safety regulations.
Your personality, experience and qualifications
* Minimum of two years of experience as a senior chef in a similar fast-paced environment.
* Proven track record and ability to cover all areas of the kitchen.
* Passion for creating and delivering first-class, consistent food.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Ability to cope under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
* Fantastic organisational skills.
* Confidence in controlling costs and maximising profitability.
* Passion and care for your team, with the ability to drive their progression and build a cohesive team.
