Health & Safety Advisor

Leading mechanical, electrical and civil engineering contractor in the water sector urgently require another Health & Safety Advisor due to strong business growth.
The ideal candidate will come from a health & safety background, preferably in the water or utilities sector.
You must have relevant health and safety qualifications – NEBOSH / IOSH / with EUSR / Temporary works / SMSTS / CSCS etc an advantage.
The Health & Safety Advisor will work alongside the Health & Safety Manager planning and promoting health safety and environmental performance. Monitor the health, safety, environment and quality performance on projects under your control and take such steps as are necessary to improve the performance. Undertake audits and inspections. Attend client meetings as and when required. Undertake investigations and reporting of accidents and near misses. Liaison with external parties such as HSE. Prepare monthly health & safety reports both for the client and internally.
Ensure that the requirements under the company’s integrated management system are followed accordingly and to ensure that the projects you cover are doing the same. Co-ordinate with the SHEQ Department in all health, safety, environment and quality matters.
