The Solution Group, on behalf of our esteemed client, is seeking a skilled CAD Design & Project Technician to join their dynamic team. As a growing company with an expanding order book, our client specialises in the Design, Manufacture, Installation and repair of structural steel work and general engineering. Located in Essex, our client is at the forefront of innovation in the construction, marine, and industrial sectors.nKey Responsibilities:nUtilise CAD software for 2D & 3D detailing of construction, marine, and industrial drawings.nGenerate preliminary concept designs and develop them into final manufacturing detail and construction drawings.nConduct surveys at local sites in collaboration with engineers to gather essential data.nPrepare material take offs and material lists for pricing.nSpecify and order necessary materials.nCreate workshop manufacturing drawings and profile drawings for CNC cutting.nCollaborate with workshop supervisors to identify and resolve issues.nCoordinate with the operations manager to schedule and prioritise manufacturing activities.nLiaise with clients to address production queries and ensure satisfaction.nMaintain control of manufacturing documents and records in compliance with EN1090 & ISO9001 management systems.nAssist in the preparation for ISO 9001, ISO 45001, EN1090 & SSIP audits.

Requirements:nPrevious experience in the structural steel manufacturing industry is essential.nProficiency in CAD software for both 2D and 3D modelling.nExperience in construction, marine, or port industries is desirable.nKnowledge of ISO Quality Management Systems is preferred.nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.nAbility to work collaboratively within a team environment.nAttention to detail and problem-solving abilities.nFlexibility to visit local sites and conduct surveys as required.
