Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for a Senior Planner to lead a team to plan, phase, programme, and sequence activities to make sure we’re delivering maximum efficiency in our repairs service.
You’ll support the team to deliver a high performing, customer focused service. This includes guiding them to make appointments, whilst ensuring performance is analysed and continuous improvements to the service are made.
You’ll have experience of managing a team that delivers exceptional standards of customer service and you’ll champion collaborative working across the organisation. You’ll be digitally savvy, and have the ability to investigate, evaluate and respond to situations quickly.
Duties include:
* Develop and manage the daily, weekly, and monthly repair and maintenance schedules for the housing association’s properties.
* Prioritize and allocate repair jobs based on urgency, available resources, and resident needs.
* Coordinate with maintenance teams, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and quality completion of repair works.
* Monitor and track the progress of all repair and maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all repair jobs, including work orders, job statuses, and completion dates.
* Analyze repair trends and performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and housing standards in all repair and maintenance activities.
* Communicate effectively with residents to provide updates on repair statuses and address any concerns or inquiries.
* Collaborate with other departments, such as Property Management and Finance, to ensure integrated service delivery.
* Develop and implement best practices and standard operating procedures for repair planning and scheduling.
* Provide leadership, training, and support to junior planners and administrative staff within the repairs team.
* Prepare and present regular reports on repair activities, performance metrics, and improvement initiatives to senior management
