General Foreman

Sterling Recruitment Services are looking to recruit an experienced Workshop Foreman for our heavy engineering client based in Wallsend.
Our client are a multidisciplinary and international construction company with an established reputation in the engineering, production, supply and assembly of heavy, technically complex and architectural steel structures.
Key job duties:
* Responsible for safety and coordination of production area
* Planning manpower, time and plant resources
* Area supervision of labour.
* Ensuring area is safely clear of trades in preparation for assembly/production.
* Planning production area activities around a month in advance.
Person specification:
* The ideal person will be time served plater, plating supervisor or general foreman within a heavy steel fabrication setting.
* Must be able to read engineering drawings.
* Must have a flexible approach to work and be able to work as part of a team.
* A no-nonsense approach to work with the ability to inspire others
