Our Central Procurement team are looking for a Contracts Manager- German Speaking to be responsible for supporting the Procurement Managers and businesses with all supply chain contracting requirements and activities across the Group ensuring we achieve optimum contractual terms and legal protection. Working alongside one other Contracts Manager, you will own all supply chain contracting processes working on a wide range of contractual matters across a number of categories of spend and markets.
About the Team
The team are here to support our businesses and teams across the Group with their supply chain contracting activities. We are a team of 12 individuals who work closely but autonomously, and at pace to deliver our annual Procurement plan and supporting the businesses with the delivery of their objectives and strategy. Providing a first-class service to the business is key, and the ability to develop strong and credible relationships with your stakeholders is fundamental to the success of the team.
The Role
- Draft all contracts using PureGym's terms and conditions and papers and supporting the Procurement Managers with negotiations, including goods & services agreements, NDA's variation agreements and termination letters.
- Carry out first line reviews and mark-ups of all third-party contract templates, bringing these in line with PureGyms terms and conditions, and escalating risks for approval by the Procurement Managers and Group Procurement Director.
- Advise the Procurement Managers on the negotiation of supply chain contracts and the resolution of any contractual issues.
- Ensure all supply chain contracts achieve the optimum legal protection position and meet our standard terms and conditions and minimum legal & regulatory requirements.
- Manage the contract approval and signature processes in line with the Group delegation of authority.
- Ensure all relevant stakeholders (internal and external) are kept updated with the status of contracting activities, prioritising to ensure all deadlines are achieved.
- Be the escalation point in the team and provide support with all contractual related queries and issues.
- Work closely with the Procurement Governance Manager to ensure all contracting activities comply with the supply chain risk & compliance framework.
- Supports all trademarking activities across the Group.
The Person
- Speaks fluent in German
- Has a solid understanding of contract terminology and law, and is highly experienced in the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts.
- Has a law degree / GDL or equivalent and experience working in a paralegal position or similar role.
- Can build strong & credible relationships with a remote stakeholder Group, being seen as part of the team and lives and breathes our values in everything they do.
- Is a natural people person who works collaboratively with others, is confident but has no ego and is comfortable rolling up their sleeves and getting stuck in.
- Is disciplined, remains calm under pressure, and has the ability to think commercially and see the bigger picture.
- Is a self-starter who can lead multiple activities to targets and deadlines, and is a high-performer with high-standards and work ethics, and continually challenges themselves.
- Has strong attention to detail and organisational skills with the ability to work productively remotely and manage multiple activities and priorities.
- Is pragmatic and proactive, has excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work across multiple Businesses & functions.
- Is flexible to travel between corporate offices, including overseas, as required.
