is recruiting a
Senior Financial Accountant
to support the financial operations of an international creative advertising agency. This role will report directly to FD. The
Senior Accountant
will be supporting the financial reporting, audits, cash management, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations for the UK entity. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial management, a strong understanding of the advertising industry, very strong accounting technical skills and the ability to operate in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
The Role of the
Senior Financial Accountant
Nominal Ledger ManagementnSupport the management of the nominal ledger, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records.nReconcile balance sheet accounts, including bank accounts, accounts receivable, and accounts payablenReconcile payroll and prepare related journal entriesnPrepare journal entries, ensuring proper classification and documentation of transactionsnSupport month-end closing process ensuring adherence to internal controls and company timelinesnFinancial Reporting and AnalysisnPrepare monthly financial reports based on agency-specific requirements.nAnalyse financial data and trends to identify variances, anomalies and prepare explanations of variancesnPrepare Ad hoc reports as needed by managementnInternal Controls & AuditnMonitor internal controls and ensure compliance.nCoordinate with internal and external auditors providing necessary documentation and supportnTreasury and Cash ManagementnOversee cash flow forecasting.nAnalyse agency cash flow and propose actions to increase liquiditynMonitor foreign exchange risk and suggest strategies as needed
Skills and Requirements of a
Senior Financial Accountant
Qualified Accountant – ACA / ACCA /CIMAnStrong knowledge of accounting principles including IFRS 15nUnderstanding of SOX requirements and experience of operating in SOX compliant organisationnStrong Excel skillsnProficiency in financial software and systems (e.g., ERP, accounting software), Maconomy experience is an advantage.nExcellent analytical, strategic, and communication skills
