Join the British Red Cross as a Senior Community Support Worker - working closely with the Service Manager, you'll drive service excellence, mentor staff, and ensure every service user receives the highest standard of care. You'll also play a key role in overseeing service quality through practice observations, user feedback, and support plan audits. Step up and help shape a stronger, more caring community. What does a typical day in the life of a Senior Community Support Worker involve? Maximising independence through coordinating care at home. Providing compassionate care in accordance with Care Inspectorate regulations, making a real difference in service users' lives. Collaborating with the team to maintain optimal staffing levels and adapt work plans to evolving needs. Empowering individuals by connecting them to additional resources and services, while also mentoring and assisting fellow team members. What do you need to be a successful Senior Community Support Worker ? Preferred qualifications: National 5 level education, SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care, and a PDA in Supervision. Flexible approach: Willingness to work according to duty rotas. Leadership: Ability to take responsibility for the overall running of the service in the absence of a senior staff member. Travel: Ability to travel throughout the area as required. Compliance: Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 3 months of starting the role. Interested?
