Lead Cloud Security Architect   Job Description
As the Cloud Security Architect with a specific focus on AWS within our clients LECP Programme, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing secure cloud solutions that meet the stringent requirements of law enforcement data security and privacy. Working within a product-centric target operating model, you will collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to embed security into the DNA of our cloud products and services from the ground up.
Your role will involve strategic planning, architecture design, and the continuous evaluation of cloud security postures to protect sensitive information against emerging threats. 
Key Responsibilities: Design and implement secure cloud architectures for AWS that comply with the specific security and compliance needs of our client and law enforcement agencies. 
Collaborate with product teams to integrate cloud security considerations into product development lifecycles, ensuring that security is not an afterthought but a foundational component. 
Conduct risk assessments, security audits, and vulnerability analyses to identify and mitigate potential threats to cloud environments. 
Develop and maintain cloud security policies, procedures, and standards that align with national and international regulatory requirements. 
Work closely with compliance teams to ensure that cloud solutions adhere to industry standards such as ISO 27001, GDPR, SOC 2, and specific law enforcement security mandates. 
Provide expert guidance on AWS security best practices, tools, and services to internal teams and stakeholders. 
Stay abreast of the latest cloud security trends, technologies, and AWS features to continually enhance our security posture. 
Lead the development of security-focused documentation and training materials to raise awareness and competence across the organization. 
Facilitate the secure integration of LECP cloud solutions with other key infrastructures, such as the Law Enforcement Community Network (LECN) and the National Identity and Access Management System (NIAM). 
Qualifications Certification in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field. 
Professional certifications in cloud security and architecture, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, CISSP, or CISM. 
Extensive experience in designing and implementing secure cloud architectures, specifically within AWS environments. 
Demonstrated knowledge of law enforcement and government security standards, frameworks, and regulatory compliance requirements. 
Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies, security principles, and architectural best practices. 
Skills and Experience Deep expertise in AWS cloud services, security features, and best practices. 
Proficient in cloud security frameworks, risk management, and compliance assessments. 
Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex security concepts to a non-technical audience. 
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead security initiatives in a dynamic and evolving environment. 
Leadership and collaboration abilities, with a track record of working effectively in cross-functional teams within a product-centric operating model
