Overview:

We are recruiting for a Cost Engineer to join Our client’s project delivery team in Aberdeen on a 12 month contract basis. To perform a cost engineer role for two standalone medium sized projects as part of an overall Contract portfolio. Reporting to the Lead Cost Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • To be responsible for the development, maintenance and monitoring of cost reports and associated documents.
  • Produce and analyse monthly VOWD.
  • Prepare and maintain cost reports for medium sized projects.
  • Variance analysis on budge ,actuals and forecast
  • Assist in the establishment and maintenance of the project cost reporting system and procedures.
  • Delivery of appropriately detailed robust cost reports for a medium sized project.
  • Help promote and maintain the Company’s change control procedures.
  • Support Lead Cost Engineer with any contract specific reporting or tasks.

Qualifications:

  • HNC or relevant experience.
  • Previous cost experience, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Capable of identifying and providing input to Cost related improvement initiatives.
  • Capable of managing a coordinated approach to resolving procedural issues in a timely manner.
  • Sound IT skills, familiar with Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel etc.
  • EcoSys experience is preferable but not essential.
