Purpose of the Role:

We are looking for an Actuary to join the Finance Change team to help achieve some of the key strategic objectives of the group, focused on supporting strategic growth within the Life Insurance business.

As an Actuary , you will be responsible to:

  • Analyse proposition/ deal requirements and translate these into Finance business requirements and solutions.
  • Work with Finance SMEs in impact assessing new Life insurance propositions/ deals, articulating high level requirements and resource needs.
  • Develop and implement process for managing new change demand on Finance team including articulation of impacts and options for prioritisation to senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure that proposed solutions are aligned with enterprise architecture.
  • Communicating impact assessment solution designs, key design assumptions and methodologies used to stakeholders.
  • Ensuring key architectural artefacts are produced that enable due diligence to be conducted effectively.
  • Act as an interface between Finance function and Life business teams.
  • Identifying options for tactical business solution implementation and the delta to implementation of strategic solutions.
  • Ensure that impact assessment has considered all business requirements required to deliver an end-to-end solution, all relevant Finance teams have been engaged and all dependencies are documented.

What we require from the candidate:

  • Qualified actuary with few years of post-qualification experience.
  • Experience of working in Life insurance industry.
  • Strong background in delivering business change.
  • Possess both a strong attention to detail and a "big picture" mind-set.
  • Significant experience of navigating and resolving conflicts.
  • Ability to build strong relationships at all levels across the business, flex interpersonal style accordingly and influence others effectively.
  • Track record in delivering transformational change to achieve timely, quality, control and cost outcomes in complex projects.
  • Strong communication skills, with an ability to articulate complex issues clearly and succinctly to senior management.
