The Company
This Mechanical Package Manager’s role is with one of the UK’s leading multi-disciplined property company’s offering a wide range of services to a multi-national client base. Part of their offering includes acting as a principal main contractor on projects for their clients existing property portfolio’s including M&E upgrades, building fabric refurbishment and commercial fit out with values from £100k - £5million.
The Role
We are looking for a Mechanical Package Manager to work on a datacentre scheme in Surrey. The key responsibilities are:
* Site management / supervision of mechanical packages.
* Site progress reports
* Undertake take offs, material selection and order materials
* Ensure correct storage of materials and that site stock is maintained to allow daily operations.
* Review site reports, designs and drawings and provide practical feedback on installation methods and improvements in line with best practice.
* Report on overall operation of programme, labour, health and safety and any other matter that may arise
* Responsibility for the subcontractor site-based project documentation, items such as RAMS, permits, void closures.
* Responsibility to meet with subcontractors on site progress, resource allocation and health safety performance.
* Create and maintain and update daily site diary with full information on activities, staff, conditions, operations etc.
* Responsibility for managing site materials including security and appropriate storage.
* Undertake site Inductions for all staff and record required documentation.
* Undertake daily briefings, tool-box talks and record as required.
