Role Overview

We are partnering with a macro trading firm in London looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join their technology team. This role is central to developing and supporting Kubernetes clusters, cloud platforms, and automation initiatives across critical trading and business operations. You'll work alongside developers to deliver and optimize platform functionality, driving efficiency and reliability through automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain Kubernetes clusters (on-premises and cloud) with a focus on security, scalability, and reliability.
  • Support cloud integration efforts with public and hybrid platforms, ideally in Azure or AWS.
  • Drive automation through Ansible (required) and Terraform (optional).
  • Design and improve CI/CD pipelines using tools like TeamCity and Jenkins .
  • Implement monitoring and observability with OpenTelemetry , Prometheus , and ELK .
  • Support and integrate messaging and caching systems, including Kafka , Redis , and Hazelcast .
  • Deploy and maintain applications in Java and .NET Core environments.

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps , with essential experience in financial services .
  • Proficiency in Kubernetes (bare-metal and cloud), Linux and Windows systems.
  • Strong Python skills, with additional knowledge of Groovy, Java, or C# .
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (TeamCity, Jenkins), cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), and monitoring tools (OpenTelemetry, ELK).
  • Experience with caching (Redis, Hazelcast), messaging (Kafka), and software testing frameworks (JUnit, pytest).
