iO Associates have partnered with we specialist defence IT and Engineering company based in London Luton Airport in the search for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Technician.

As the Maintenance technician you will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance of HBS, Arrivals and central search systems at LLA. Working as part of a team with 2 maintenance technicians per 12 hour shift you will be fault finding skills on automated PLC controlled conveyor systems /sortation systems and Helping with preparing fault and monthly system reports. You'll be using your good communication skills with customers and will be reporting and maintenance record keeping via the PPM management system.

To be successful for this role you will need:nNVQ Level 3 / City and Guilds Electrical / Mechanical or EquivalentnMulti skilled techniciannExperience of fault finding on PLC / SCADA systems. ( Modicon or Siemens preferred)nFault finding on control panels, network and bus systemsnAbility to read electrical drawingnGood communication skillsnPC literate with ability to structure and write reportsnProven experience of reactive and planned maintenancenCheckable 5 year work historynDBS

The shift pattern is shift is 2 weeks of days, then 2 weeks of nights, 12 hour shifts.

Week 1 - Weds and Thursday - DaysnWeek 2 - Mon, Tues and Fri, Sat, Sun - DaysnWeek 3 - Float week to cover sickness and holiday. 2-4 shifts depending on what sick/holiday is on that week. NightsnWeek 4 - Nights on same days as week 2.

The salary is circa.£46,500 including shift allowance. Some overtime could be available.

Benefits include: Healthcare, Matched 8% pension, 22 days holiday and overtime payments for BH and Xmas shifts.
