My client is a well-established manufacturer, of men’s, women’s and kids lounge, intimates and accessories, looking for a Garment Tech with some industry experience to join their small team.
Junior / Garment Tech – The Role
* Work with design / development teams to identify seasonal block developments across lounge, underwear and accessories.
* Provide full graded specs and measurement charts for all new developments
* Advise on make, cost and quality and labelling requirements
* Work to suppliers to develop new blocks and seasonal styles as required.
* Liaise with Design and development teams, to ensure, fit, quality and on time sign off.
* Mange prototype samples, pre-production fittings, the sealing process and critical path dates.
* Document and issue fit comments to suppliers in line with the critical path.
* Create and maintain workbooks for each style.
* Understand, and adhere to industry standards on quality, compliance and keep up to date with legislation.
* Liaise daily with international factories/suppliers and customers
Junior / Garment Tech – The Person
* Experience in a similar role working with underwear, accessories, or womenswear is preferable
* Confident and clear communicator
* Adaptable and efficient
* Excellent attention to detail
* Garment and knitwear construction knowledge.
* Experience liaising with international teams.
* Time management, and able to take instruction confidently
