We are currently seeking experienced Cover Teachers, including those with or without Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), to join our team in the Manchester . Role Overview: As a Cover Teacher, you will provide temporary classroom cover for absent teachers across various subjects and year groups. You will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lesson plans, maintaining classroom discipline, and ensuring a positive learning environment. This is a temporary, ad hoc position with a negotiable daily rate.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and effective lessons across a range of subjects and year groups in the absence of regular classroom teachers.
* Follow pre-prepared lesson plans and adapt them as necessary to meet the needs of the students.
* Manage classroom behavior and ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
* Provide support and guidance to students to facilitate their learning and progress.
* Collaborate with school staff to maintain continuity of learning in the absence of regular teachers.
* Complete any necessary administrative tasks related to lesson planning and assessment.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working in education, either as a qualified teacher with QTS or as a cover supervisor, is desirable.
* Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Flexibility and adaptability to work in different school settings and with varying age groups.
* Reliable and punctual attendance.
* Enhanced DBS certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
