Senior Market Risk Analyst

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREASnResponsible for the migration, accuracy, and integrity of data into the company’s ETRM system for successful reportingnDaily reconciliation and parallel running of the system exposures and P&L for both physical and financial trading versus independent calculations to ensure correctness and completenessnIdentifying and resolving system anomalies, together with recommending solutions for system enhancements and development for the ETRM systemnWork collaboratively with other cross functional teams, Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office, Finance and IT for successful project delivery and continuous improvementnSupport process standardization for reporting purposes within the Risk team, regionally and globallynPrepare and review of daily P&L and risk reports and following up of any issues with the relevant teamsnOther Ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Market Risk Manager
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATIONSnUniversity degree in economics, finance and / or engineering discipline;nRelevant experience in a market risk and or project role within the Middle Office from trading companies or banksnExperience manipulating and analysing large and complex datasetsnKnowledge of ETRM systems and end user requirementsnProblem solving capability with a pproactive and result oriented approach to work;nStrong attention to detailnKnowledge of refined products (blending, storage, biofuels etc.) and shipping marketsnGood understanding of pricing and hedging of the physical activities with the use of various derivatives instruments (futures, swaps, options etc.)nStrong and solid knowledge of MS Office suite including excellent Excel and VBA skills, Python, Matlab & SQL knowledge a plus;nAbility to communicate concisely to senior management in Market Risk and to stakeholders;nHighly organised, good attention to detail and ability to work with tight deadlines;nAnalytical mind and good numerical skills;nStrong communication and interpersonal skills;nAbility to build and nurture effective relationships internally and externally;nFull command of English language (spoken and written).
