Role: Cost Engineer

Our client, a privately owned, leading global construction and consultancy firm are interested in meeting Cost Engineers. The ideal candidate will serve as a key interface between Planners, Commercial personnel, and Project personnel, ensuring seamless integration and communication across various project control activities. This role requires a deep understanding of project controls requirements and the ability to provide training and support to the Project Team.
 
Your responsibilities will include:
Serve as Programme Controls interface with Planners, Commercial personnel, and Project personnel.
Provide Project Controls training and assist Project Team members in understanding project controls requirements.
Analyse project data and provide detailed cost and schedule variance analysis.
Prepare and deliver Project Controls presentations.
Understand Change Management requirements and assist the Project Team with the preparation of change control documentation.
Adhere to Project Controls Procedures and assist in revising them as required.
Support the corporate safety culture. 
Additional Responsibility:
Transform project information into concise and valuable reports and presentations.
Interface with contractors on Project Control items, providing training and support as needed.
Ensure project schedules and budgets are maintained and updated.
Perform individual project controls surveillances.
Review cost estimates and basis of estimates.
Interface with all levels of management.
Collaborate with functional organisations on Project Controls items. 
About you:
Experience in cost engineering roles for construction and/or engineering projects, with project controls experience across start-up, execution, and close-out phases.
Sound knowledge of project controls, particularly earned value management.
Strong presentation skills and proven high-quality writing abilities.
Ability to deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
Experience in report writing and change management practices and procedures. 
Qualifications:
Proficient user of project controls tools/systems (e.g., P6, COBRA, OpenPlan, Microsoft Project).
Proficient in office software, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
BA/BSc degree (relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree).
