Client: Having been established for over 50 years our client has come to be recognised as a market leading M&E contractor within the UK. Key to their success is their innovative engineering solutions and delivery first approach. Their experience ranges from small work contracts circa £500k to major projects in excess of £40M, covering commercial offices, science and datacentre sectors.
Senior Electrical Project Manager – Salary up to £95,000 plus £5,000 Car allowance + Travel + Private Healthcare + Pension and Bonus
They are seeking a Senior Electrical Project Manager to lead the delivery of a £30m+ Electrical package on a new build Data Centre. This is a new build Data Centre so you will be required to lead from initial preconstruction, through the delivery and hand over.
Role/Responsibilities:
* Design Management (reviewing design liaising with client, main contractor and consultants)
* Procurement of subcontractors, kit and plant
* Technical submittals
* RFIs – Liaison with client team, main contractor and sub contractors
* Value Engineering where applicable
* Programming of works – using MS Project or Asta project
* Health & Safety management (RAMs)
* Commercial Responsibility, assisting with sub contractor variation accounts working alongside project specific Quantity Survey.
* Management of variations
* Team Coordination (overseeing junior engineers, construction managers and supervisors)
* Progress meetings with sub contractors, client and internal meetings
* Overseeing commissioning stages
* Formulation of OM Manuals and client handover
The ideal candidate:
* Will be familiar working in a fast pace environment
* Experience working in the Data Centre sector
* Experience managing projects to a minimum of £6M within your own discipline
* A minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior management role
* Ideally the candidate will have subcontracted to main contractors such as ISg, Lend Lease, Sir Robert McAlpine and Mace.
* The candidate will show longevity in previous employment
