Assistant Accountantn4 month FTC (potential contract extension)nEast Kilbride

Iconic Resourcing are excited to work again with our clients based in East Kilbride who are looking to welcome an Assistant Accountant to their team on a 4 month initial contract basis.

Main DutiesnMatch, batch, and code purchase invoicesnEnsure all suppliers are paid timely within credit termsnRaise PO's and reconcile supplier statementsnImport all sales invoices to the appropriate sales ledger client account, ensuring all VAT is appropriately charged, and email all sales invoices to clientsnProcess all sales receipts and ensure the sales ledger is reconciled to the nominal ledgernIdentify all debt nearing due payment date and follow up to collect outstanding fundsnProduce, review, and process fortnightly payment runsnPerform bank reconciliationsnCash allocation dutiesnMonthly management accounts duties - including, but not limited to, preparation of accruals and prepayments, reconciliation of intercompany accounts, drafting journals for review and preparing VAT returnsnAdhoc duties when needed

ExperiencenExperienced within the monthly management accounting and month-end close processnStrong understanding of accounts receivable / payable, banking, related systems and controlsnExcellent organisational skillsnAbility to work well within a changing environmentnAbility to prioritise own workloadnExcellent communication skills, both written and verbal
