Role: Maintenance Engineer
Contract Length: 18 months
Location: Reading (3 days per week on-site, 2 days remote)
IR35: Inside IR35
Rate: Competitive hourly rate
Clearance: MUST be actively DV cleared
Key Responsibilities:
- Hands-on upkeep of all assets and equipment on site
- Identify and escalate business risks arising from the condition of engineered systems and structures
- Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security, and quality
- Be a great team player, contributing to a positive and efficient work environment
Ideal Requirements:
* HNC with suitable additional experience to Incorporated Engineer equivalent level
* Membership of an engineering institution
* A ‘doer’ rather than a manager
* Understand what a safety case is
* Engineering background
* Nuclear background/experience highly desirable
* Technical rather than management bias
* Maintenance experience
* Shortfall fixes/breakdown assessments
* On call breakdown checks
* Substantiation
* Compliance assessments
* There is no preference regarding field of engineering - Mechanical, electrical, C&I, Civil
