Wireless Communications (Radio Access Network Systems) Engineer

Outsource are partnering with BAE Systems to recruit for a Wireless Communications (Radio Access Network Systems) Engineer.

Location: Barrow-in-Furness
Duration: 12 months
Rate: £41.87 PAYE or £55.25 Umbrella
Working Arrangements: Working from home

Overview
You will be working with a wide range of stakeholders across the BAE Submarines site. As you will have exposure to the whole Engineering Lifecycle, these will include team such as Build all the way through to Test & Commissioning. Externally, you will be working with Contractor, Suppliers & customers, such as MoD

Skills

  • Technical Knowledge of Telecommunications (Voice & Data Technologies) and Radio VHF/UHF minimum
  • Trunked Radio Systems for example TETRA/P25/PMR/DMR/MPT1327
  • Fault Diagnosis, Maintenance and Repair of Radio Systems, Equipment and Radio Access Networks.
  • Understanding of RF Spectrum Management.
  • RAN (Radio Access Network) Solution Architect experience
  • Radio Network Planning and Radio Network Optimisation experience
