About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Major Projects Programme team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing health care schemes with a value exceeding £30 million. Your duties will include overseeing project budgets and ensuring successful delivery. The position requires occasional travel to other sites within the trust, so having your own transport is essential. There may be opportunities for ongoing work beyond the initial contract.

Your duties will include but are not limited to:
* Managing & deliver broad and complex range of individual projects (up to a value of £30m) across the three West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospital sites in a live hospital environment.
* Define the scope of projects in collaboration with senior management team, while managing the delivery of individual tasks/projects within the programme as directed.
* Creating a detailed work plans for each sector & reviewing the project schedule against deliverables.
* Prepare reports for Trust Committees and the Trust Board presentations involving design stages, cost reports, overall project updates & contractor delivery schedules.
* Build relationships with staff at all levels by demonstrating effective management, communication channels & proactively collaborating
* Ensuring they are aligned to both the Division and Trust strategic objectives and the relevant business plans.
* Identify opportunities and develop plans for facilitating the relocation programme with the Divisional Managers utilizing project management improvement techniques in line with the Trust corporate strategy
* Effectively ensuring a proactive approach to reduction of clinical risk, clinical effectiveness, and a safe and healthy environment in line with the Governance strategy

Experience:
* Accredited Degree in Major Projects Programme or equivalent knowledge/experience to that level (MSc)
* Knowledge of NHS contracting process and NHS Capital
* Experience of project management teams delivering health care schemes of over £30m value, with personal responsibility for project budgets
* Experience in financial management and budgeting skills
* Experience in constructional project management
* Must be able to drive
