The Role- SEN Teaching Assistant
We are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant who has relevant experience in the field. You will be required To work under the instruction/guidance of the SENDCo and other teaching/senior staff, within an agreed system of supervision to complement the professional work of teachers by taking responsibility for raising the literacy achievement of students with SEND. To provide teaching (1:1 and groups) in addressing the literacy needs of pupils who require specialised input to overcome barriers to learning. This may involve planning and delivering bespoke 1:1 and group interventions as well as working with subject teachers to exploit literacy opportunities across the curriculum.
The School- SEN Teaching Assistant
a school in the North of Hackney for boys and girls aged 11- 19, provides a world-class education in a state-of-the-art building. The Academy opened in 2010 and is on a journey from Good to Great and this has been confirmed by Ofsted in May 2022; “leaders and governors remain focused on doing the right things to improve the school further. They have developed an ambitious and clear long-term plan that outlines how they will reach their vision”. Recruiting an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant is crucial to the success of this journey. The school is close to multiple transport links to ensure ease of travel.
