Based in Dundee, ESS’s client was founded in 2019 with a mission to make a positive impact on the renewable energy sector. The company is dedicated to reducing carbon emissions and is playing a crucial role in introducing battery storage systems to the UK market. They offer a range of customisable battery storage solutions that help their customers optimise their energy use, reduce their carbon footprint, generate new revenue streams, and operate more efficiently.
 
To further expand their operations, the company has recently opened a new facility in Dundee. As part of their growth strategy, they are now looking to hire a Sales Operations Assistant.   
 
The Sales Operations Assistant will work closely alongside the directors, managers and sales staff of the business battery storage division to ensure customer requirements are met while liaising with internal operations and external clients over sales, hire and off hire of products and keep the tracking lists/databases up to date.
 
Principal duties shall include, but not be limited to the following:
Prepare paperwork for products, including health certification and product schedules.
Liaise with intercompany departments (logistics, finance, customs, transportation) and customers to ensure smooth export process.
Assist with the management of vendor relationships, including placing orders and managing delivery schedules.
Using  input purchase orders and receipts.
Assist with the management of daily operations, including maintaining daily operations paperwork, coordinating with various departments to ensure smooth operations.
Collaborate with other team members and departments to improve efficiency and productivity, and to identify and resolve any issues or concerns.
Respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
Maintain maintenance and servicing schedules and liaise with external parties regarding service agreements and bookings.
Facilities management - ensuring the office production environment is in good condition, arranging any necessary repairs and coordinating with suppliers.
Assist with the implementation of new policies and procedures to improve operations
Maintain records of all business activities, including financial records, inventory, and customer data as needed.
Provide support to the Directors, operations and production teams as needed.
Any other activities as reasonably requested by management.  
Experience and Qualifications
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software programs.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Strong Communicator.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Knowledge of ‘Sales Force’ or equivalent CRM type system.  
Minimum Qualifications:
1-2 years of experience in operations management or a related field
Knowledge of business processes and operations
Understanding of financial and accounting principles
Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions
Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change quickly.  
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field is desired.
Experience with EPR / MRP systems.
