Repairs Electrical Fitter

* In-depth knowledge and experience of repairing electrical rotating equipment.
* A key part of the role is to provide rostered out-of-hours cover which attracts generous remuneration.
* Experience in dismantling a wide range of motors (including AC & DC), brake motors, gearboxes, pumps, fan units, and experience with static and dynamic testing.
* Testing and repair of transformers.
* Identifying and repairing any faults found.
* Re-assembly and testing of equipment following repair
* Working with motor voltages up to 415 Volts and test voltages up to 2Kv
* Dealing with technical issues which may arise
* Attending site to test and analyse motors and generators in use using standard industry equipment and determining faults and repair action required
* Experience working with alternators and fault finding preferable not essential
* The ability to detail and wind armatures, stators and rotors would be ideal but not essential
To apply you must have: -
* Commercial Electrical fitter experience with rotating equipment within a workshop environment (essential)
* Winding experience would be ideal but not essential
* City & guilds or times serviced experience
* Must be able to be on-call (one in fourr with extra pay for this)
* Driving licence
