Chapman Recruitment are looking for an experienced planner to join an, an established company in the engineering sector, specializing in Automation, Electrical, and Mechanical projects. The company was established in 2003 and has a dynamic team that thrives on challenges and is looking to welcome an enthusiastic, and self-driven individual who is eager to develop and progress within the industry. This is a full-time role and is offering work with clients at airports and major distribution networks.
About the role P6 Planner role:
As a planner, you will be responsible for developing, monitoring and updating project schedules. You will be working on high value projects, with a focus on construction planning and coordination. The role involves collaborating with the project management team to ensure that all timelines are met, resources are efficiently allocated and project milestones are achieved.
P6 Planner Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning using Primavera P6, utilising CAD and excel skills to produce data sheets for the project team to use from the data obtained in P6.
2. Develop fully baselined, resource & cost loaded, and logic linked project schedules in accordance with planning processes.
3. Produce planning reports to assist with ‘Earned Value Management’.
4. Prepare and present detailed planning information ie; Gant charts, labour histograms, baseline schedules, S Curves, KPI’s & progress reports.
5. Site visits to obtain progress on each program activity and produce program based on this progress.
6. Produce progress monitoring tools.
7. Adjust completion dates so they are aligned, when possible, with the baseline.
8. Perform analysis and scenario modelling for potential project changes, provide risks, issues, cost, resource and delay analysis and implement corrective actions.
9. Submit programme with a narrative of any slippage. Attend progress meetings.
P6 Planner Requirements:
1. Relevant experience using P6 Primavera.
2. 2+ years' experience as a planner within engineering knowledge of engineering processes, material handling equipment, steelwork design, and mechanical installations, experience with electronic document management systems.
3. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
4. Proficiency in office suite
