Empowering Learning are looking for a SEND Teacher to work in a Special Educational Needs School in an amazing setting in the East Midlands. The ideal candidate should have QTS, experience of working with children with Special Educational Needs and SEMH knowledge though this is not essential.We welcome applications from Newly Qualified Teachers. We are seeking an enthusiastic teacher who would be excited to teach a modified curriculum to amazing group of individuals, throughout key stages, 3, 4 and 5.The ideal candidate will: QTS or QTLSHave the ability to teach pupils with SENDKnowledge of secondary age curriculum expectationsBe able to teach a variety of subject including English and MathsBe highly organised with excellent communication skillsHave a desire to work with, inspire and support children from all needs and backgroundsHave excellent behaviour management skillsUnderstand the expectations against the Teachers Standards.Main Responsibilities:Teaching a variety of subjects to SEND pupilsPlanning lessons and activities for whole class learning and group learningSupporting SEND children with their work in a class settingManaging difficult behaviours and implementing the school behaviour policySafeguarding vulnerable pupilsPossible supervising on lunch and break timesSupporting and managing teaching assistants within the classroomBuilding relationships with staff and pupilsCollecting evidence of pupils work to support their assessmentsFeedback to the relevant member of staff about the pupils progressTo have pastoral responsibility for a group of pupilsPotentially lead in a subject areaEnsure a team approach to education with stakeholders such as parents and carersBenefits of working with Empowering Learning.You will be paid a competitive daily wage, based on your experienceDedicated consultant allocated to support you with any questions or concernsSupport in writing CV's and job applicationsFast, effective compliance service£150 for any successful referral of Teachers and Teaching AssistantsYou will receive free, up to date safeguarding trainingTraining workshops and CPD courses to provide professional developmentEmpowering Learning Limited is an Equal Opportunities Employer.
