About the role:
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant (TA) specialising in English as an Additional Language (EAL) to join our team on a part-time basis due to the growing need for additional support in our diverse classroom environment. This part-time role, which offers a salary of £85-£100 per day and involves working three days per week, will see you supporting a class of 25 students. You will play a crucial role in helping EAL students thrive academically and socially, making a significant impact on their educational experience. Experience with EAL is preferred to ensure effective and targeted intervention for students who need additional support to excel in their studies.
Application Requirements:
• Proven experience working with EAL students.
• Strong understanding of educational strategies for supporting language development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to EAL students, focusing on language development and academic progress.
• Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering tailored interventions.
• Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the teacher.
• Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for EAL students.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
