About The Role
Our client is looking to strengthen their Engineering team with either a Process Engineer or Senior Process Engineer. Based at, Rickmansworth, you will provide superior quality engineering design services to allow the company to minimize risks and maximize profits on turnkey and engineering services contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design Coordination: Produce process design documents and drawings, ensuring compliance with health & safety requirements, specifications, and standards relevant to the contract.
* Project Technical Oversight: Oversee the technical aspects of multiple projects and handle specific department management functions and improvement initiatives as directed by the department manager.
* Cost-Effective Process Design: Develop process designs that are cost-effective, meet specification requirements, and can be constructed and commissioned efficiently. Consider the entire outturn cost of the design solution, including design time, material, erection costs, and impacts on other disciplines.
* Procedure Development: Assist the design manager in writing, updating, and monitoring efficient procedures to ensure the smooth running of the department.
* Design Coordination: Ensure that designs are coordinated with all other disciplines, both internal and external, to benefit the contract as a whole.
* Documentation Maintenance: Maintain files and records throughout the duration of contracts.
* Customer Satisfaction: Help instil a culture where satisfying the customer is seen as key to achieving other objectives. Recognize customers as everyone benefiting from our processes, including end users and other company departments.
* Health and Safety Consideration: Ensure that design processes fully comply with health and safety requirements.
About The Candidate
Essential Qualifications and Skills:
* Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of either water or wastewater process design.
* Process Design Experience: Proven track record of developing process designs and mass balance calculations.
* Pressure Handling: Ability to think clearly and effectively under pressure.
* Economic Design Rationalization: Ability to rationalize designs to produce economic and efficient process designs.
