An opportunity has become available to join an approved Part 145 MRO as a Quote & Estimating Administrator at their site just outside of Saffron Walden, Essex. The company specialises in developing new repairs for aircraft components via Part 21J design and has a full range of C- ratings as well as a CAA BCAR approved aerospace welding workshop. They provide component repairs to a wide range of aircraft operators including Boeing, Airbus, Embraer, ATR and Bombardier. The company offers solutions on reliability problems, reducing delays, lowering operator and FHA providers stock holding requirements, associated administration and costs.nThe post holder will report to the Commercial Team Leader and the primary purpose of the job will be to support our admin team aircraft operators in providing excellent customer service.nThis is a permanent position working Monday- Friday, 8.00am- 4.30pm. The post holder would be expected on site full time, there is no hybrid working available with this role.
Main Responsibilities:
Works with teams internally to generate accurate quotes and estimates.nResearching the cost of items such as parts and labour.nEstablishing and maintaining relationships with the Technicians, Buyer, Sales and Admin Team members internally as well as with external aircraft operators and customers.nUsing internal systems (Aerotrac) to generate consistent quotes by Customer and by Component type to agreed margins.nLiaising with Buyers & Production Team to ensure the necessary parts and expertise are available to facilitate any quoted work.nPreparing and submitting quotations and details of costs for work to be done to a quality and professional standard.nEnsuring all quoting and estimating is accurate and recorded in the appropriate Company IT systems.nResponds to customer enquiries in a professional and timely manner.nAdheres to all Company standard operating proceduresnAdheres to all health and safety proceduresnMeets customer service and quality standardsnEnsures all administration and systems inputs meets agreed standards

About You:
Ideally, the successful candidate will have had a similar role in an Aviation MRO with a proven track record of success.nA Level or equivalent.nExperience in the aerospace/ airline industry is preferred but a background in automotive will be considered.nExperience of quoting and estimating.nIdeally experience in the use of estimating software.nAble to present technical and complex information in a simplified manner to different stakeholders.nExperience with Microsoft Office.nPersistence to get the necessary information to make accurate cost estimates.nAbility to collaborate with others to get the cost estimates done accurately and on time.nAccurate presentation of costed quotes.nPlanning and organizing.nDecision-making.nInformation management.nCommunication skills.nTeamwork.nThe individual will be a good communicator, negotiator and customer focused plus a team player, willing to learn, disciplined, with an eye for detail and a self-starter.
