Job Description
Encompass seeks to identify and recruit an experienced and highly capable General Manager & EVP Sales (GM) to provide vision and leadership for all aspects of Encompass’s sales strategy, engineering teams and operational performance in the APAC and EMEA regions. Reporting to the CEO and located in London, the GM will lead a team and direct the strategic and tactical aspects of the region, driving revenue and supporting profitable growth in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Role Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Encompass Digital Media Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the successful candidate will take ownership of the regional financial performance, leading the sales, operational and engineering teams across Encompass’ business in the APAC & EMEA regions.
- This position is a member of Encompass’ global Executive Committee (EC), who are collectively responsible for the strategic direction of the organization.
- This role will be based out of Encompass’ offices in London, key responsibilities will include:
- Working with the CEO and regional Senior Management Team (SMT) to define and deliver the strategic vision for the region in alignment with the wider company goals.
- Responsible for the financial performance (P&L) of the region
- Primary function will be to focus on the growth of Encompass APAC & EMEA business, supporting the sales and commercial teams to identify and close new business across the regions, as well as growing and maintaining existing business.
- Ultimate responsibility for the day-to-day performance of the operational and engineering teams, ensuring service delivery meets the client contracted Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Alignment of local objectives with Encompass’ global objectives.
- Executive level management of client relationships in the regions.
- Strategic expansion of the Encompass full-time, occasional use and radio business, with a focus on the growth of Encompass’ Altitude Media Cloud hosted suite of products.
- Direct participation in corporate strategic planning and decision making.
- Management of the performance, engagement, and morale of direct reports and their respective teams, where applicable.
- Active collaboration and partnership with the local financial leadership and team, who report centrally to the company Executive team, to ensure the required financial diligence and reporting is in place for region.

- Active collaboration and partnership with global peers and other senior leaders.
- Responsible for 6 staffed facilities located in 5 countries and a team of ~450
- Facility management including collaborative negotiation of lease obligations with local Landlords across multiple regions
- Working with the regional People Team to ensure collaborative working relationship with local Unions as required.
- Quarterly travel to mainland Europe, yearly travel to APAC, alternate yearly travel to Middle East and other Encompass locations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Education, Experience & Skills
- MBA or Executive MBA preferred, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent minimum
- Prior senior experience within the Media and Entertainment industry required, with experience of Managed Services and SaaS solutions preferred.
- Experience working within a Private Equity structure is preferred.
- At least ten (10) years overseeing large-scale sales, operational and engineering operations in the broadcast media space, ideally within a Managed Service Provider (MSP).
- Experience of both the APAC and EMEA Media and Broadcast industry.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results in the context of change (restructuring, turnaround, acquisition, integration) in which they has been a primary driver.
